After the tour we were set loose for 'free time' so we took the cable car ride to see a completely different aspect and the views were stupendous!!
Took a packed local bus back to our hotel for lunch and a spot of swimming and lounging by the pool.

Day 5 Dubrovnik
Our day started with a dubious weather forecast and advice to take waterproofs for a morning tour of the old town. Not long into the tour and we felt a couple of spots of rain and obediently put on coats but that was it and the weather steadily improved as we walked around a very interesting but, as usual, very busy site. Full of history, legends, invasions and modern conflicts, including a little tale of the underground passage between the monks and the nuns that never made it to the history books.
