Lake Bled; Day 1

We set off at a ridiculously early time, just after 3 am, for our flight to Salzburg, expecting a long and complicated journey to Slovenia but it turned out to be so easy. A short 2 hour flight, cases retrieved quickly and super efficient reps had us settled in a mini bus before 10. We did have to wait for another couple off the Gatwick flight, giving me time to check Austrian plumbing but we were soon on the road. Our journey took us on comfortable autobahns through magnificent alpine scenery and after a "comfort break" we were nearing the border with Slovenia.

After dropping the 2 ladies at their resort we continued on to Bled and our hotel at last. Everything is fine and we do have a lake view if we crane round but position is great, central to lakeside, bars and shops.
We were too tired to do much more than a quick stroll to get our bearings and a pretty dinner drink before a shower and dinner.
